Special note for contributors
Our goal is a 1 to 3 month turn around for commenting on submissions. That goal has been shredded to pieces over the last year and a half. If you've submitted material to Sofa Ink Quarterly, please continue to be patient. We have over 600 submissions and are still getting more.
If you click on the link, we'll provide a run down on what our current submission count is, how we're doing at bringing it down, and information on how to find out the status of your particular submission.
Spring Issue progress
25 Jan. 2008 - Here is a first look at the likely cover for the spring issue. We are near finalizing the content for the issue and once we do, we'll have info on the authors available like we do for the current issue. The spring issue will be available in March 2008.
The Winter issue, with the new look, has gotten great reviews so far. We are pleased with the reception and look forward to fine-tuning the design over the next few issues.

The New Design is Out!
11 Jan. 2008 - The new issue is available! We took delivery from the printer on Thursday. The issue will mail on Friday and Saturday.
The response to the new look has been terrific so far. We have already seen a few production issues we want to address and will be doing a full evaluation of the design after giving readers and contributors a chance to comment on their assessments of the new look.
Even more important than the new look is the content. This issue has terrific material. We are tickled to have the quality and variety we offer.
Spring issue development
The winter issue has not even reached the bulk of the readers yet and we are already in design work for the spring issue. That is a milestone we have never met before. Eventuallly we hope to have the bulk of the next issue finished before the current issue prints.
We continue to be thrilled with the content we are receiving. It is really fun to have readers contact us with their praise for the material we include.
